The FORWARD Collection Incorporates Recycled Textile Fabrics and Cleaner Dyes. Quartz Co.

The Winter 2020-21 collection focuses on winter outerwear pieces that incorporates recycled textile fibres and offers the levels of performance, comfort and durability for which the brand is known. The FORWARD Collection presents styles whose outer fabrics are made of 50% recycled fibres (Repreve) and dyed using a sustainable-certified process  called Bluesign. This breathable, water-repellent and wind-resistant fabric is made from plastic bottles. Each style of the FORWARD Collection has been fabricated using an average of 65% recycled fibres.

Designing for the people of today while thinking about the generations of tomorrow.

REPREVE is an amazing fibre made from recycled plastic bottles that is moisture-wicking, water-repellent and durable. It is used by the world’s leading brands to make athletic and fashion apparel and more.

BLUESIGN is a system that provides safer and more sustainable environments for people to work in and everyone to live in. Powered by a holistic approach, BLUESIGN traces each textile’s path along the manufacturing process, making improvements at every stage from factory floor to finished product. As a solution provider and knowledge broker, BLUESIGN acts as an independent verifier to secure trust and transparency.

Quartz Co. Down Insulated Winter Jacket from the FORWARD Collection. - Made in Canada.

The jackets are insulated with 100% Canadian white duck down that has been ethically sourced and is of certified traceable origin. All of the down used by the company is a by-product of the food industry. The brand’s clothing is fully designed and manufactured in its factories in Quebec, and most of the functional elements, such as zippers, come from reputable Canadian suppliers to encourage the local economy and reduce our carbon footprint.

The new line is available in a palette of timeless colours inspired by nature: Black, graphite, navy, bottle green and sand. Its signature patch—a navy north star on a white background—has undergone a subtle transformation. It’s now tone-on-tone (black on black). The FORWARD Collection features minimalist designs, straighter silhouettes and volumes that complement the coats’ functional elements (collar, hood, placket, pockets, etc.).
